https://jurnal.fe.unram.ac.id/index.php/intour/article/view/1577

Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools have improved the operations of multiple tourism sectors, including hotel accommodation, attractions, transportation, travel agencies, and food and beverages in the post-COVID-19 period. Nonetheless, it does not seem that there is evidence of any study investigating the application of AI in the hotel sector of a developing destination’s tourism industry, like Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, in the post-COVID-19 period. This article employs a semi-structured/In-depth interview technique to explore the perspectives of hotel accommodation stakeholders, including 7 hotel managers, 3 tourism industry sector consultants, and 2 academics in the Jos Metropolitan area of Plateau State, Nigeria, on the use of AI to improve their operations in the post-COVID-19 period. Data derived were descriptively analyzed based on themes on the uses of AI to enhance hotel business efficiency. The research revealed the efficiency of AI tools in the selected Jos hotels and the hindrances to their use, including customers’ personal privacy concerns, and poor patronage due to the current economic and security crisis. The article has implications for suggesting efficient measures for adopting AI technologies, including facial recognition, and mobile app/card entry for revenue generation, improving security and customer services in similar and other sectors of Nigeria’s tourism industry
Enesi Chukwuemeka Majebi

https://jurnal.fe.unram.ac.id/index.php/intour/article/view/1593

This study aims to examine the manufacture of sweets from bak choy stems as a diversification of hydroponic waste products in Ngrombo Tourism Village, Sukoharjo. In addition, this study also aims to evaluate the quality of candied bak choy sticks with coconut sugar variations through organoleptic tests that include aspects of liking, color, taste, aroma, and texture. The method used in this study is an experiment with a quantitative approach. The research was carried out by making candied bak choy sticks using two variations of sugar, namely coconut sugar and granulated sugar. Confectionery quality data was analyzed using an organoleptic test to describe the characteristics of respondents, as well as a posttest-only control Group to determine the influence of sugar variations on confectionery quality. The results showed that there was a significant influence of sugar variations on the quality of candied bak choy sticks, especially in the color aspect. Although the differences in the aspects of liking, taste, aroma, and texture were not significant, candied bak choy sticks with coconut sugar variations were preferred by most respondents compared to sugar variations. This study also shows that the processing of bak choy stem waste into sweets can increase the economic potential of the people of Ngrombo Village.
Wahyu Tri Hastiningsih, Prasiwi Citra Resmi

https://jurnal.fe.unram.ac.id/index.php/intour/article/view/1839

This study aims to examine the operational role of Income Audit staff in preparing Daily Revenue Reports (DRR) based on occupancy rates at Radisson Blu Bali Uluwatu Hotel. Adopting a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that Income Audit staff consistently perform key tasks, including verifying night audit records, calculating occupancy benchmarks, and preparing comprehensive audit packs. The Opera Property Management System (PMS) is used to streamline data entry and facilitate revenue classification. Interviews emphasize the strategic value of income auditing in supporting financial accuracy and managerial decision-making. However, challenges such as human error and system failures affect the reliability and timeliness of DRR preparation. Staff mitigate these risks through multi-layered review mechanisms and adaptive responses during operational disruptions, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study concludes that Income Audit staff play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity and operational accountability in hotel finance. It recommends continuous training and the enhancement of digital infrastructure to improve audit quality and support effective revenue management. These findings contribute to the literature on internal control and performance measurement in the hospitality industry
Altje E. Tuwaidan, Vesty L. Sambeka, Tirsa A. https://jurnal.fe.unram.ac.id/index.php/intour/article/view/1880

Tourism is an important sector in contributing to increasing income for regions and communities if managed with a good approach. Pentahelix collaboration is an approach to tourism development that involves the government, community, academics, business actors, and the media. Mali beach tourism has the potential for the main attraction of the dugong species, but has not attracted significant tourist visits. Data from 2023 showed that the percentage of visits was only 1.42% of the average 4.54% of visits at the provincial level. The purpose of the study was to analyze the implementation of pentahelix collaboration in tourism development on the Mali Coast. The study was conducted based on previous research that showed that pentahelix collaboration is important in developing tourist attractions. Data collection used qualitative methods through interviews with representatives of pentahelix elements and tourists, observation, and documentation. The results of the study revealed that tourism development is dominated by the government, while other stakeholders are only complementary and coordinated in a forum for communication and joint decision-making. For this reason, it is necessary to explore and organize the implementation of pentahelix collaboration in order to increase tourist visits to the Mali Beach tourist attraction.
Antonius Koby

https://jurnal.fe.unram.ac.id/index.php/intour/article/view/2126

This study aims to examine the effect of service quality provided by staff in the banquet hall on guest satisfaction in organizing events at the Peninsula Hotel Manado. Based on the findings of researchers, every time there is an event, staff often get complaints against the organizer, and it has become a hot issue developing outside the hotel, but it is still in the local Manado context. However, this will have an impact on the hotel if this is allowed and not handled properly. Through the survey method, research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents, and analyzed using simple linear regression, Spearman rank correlation, and the coefficient of determination. The result is that there is an influence of service quality on guest satisfaction, and there is a positive relationship between the two variables; the independent variable contributes to the dependent variable. Although the relationship and contribution are minor.
Selvy Kalele, Enrico Aldo Watung, Telly H. I. Kondoj, Deby Christiani Sendow, Dimas E. Permana, Jeanlly A. Solang, Benny Irwan Towoliu

https://jurnal.fe.unram.ac.id/index.php/intour/article/view/1837

Inclusive tourism remains a challenge in Indonesia, particularly in marine destinations such as Bunaken Island, where accessibility and facilities for people with disabilities are lacking. This study aims to explore stakeholder perceptions, including government officials, tourism businesses, and local communities, regarding the availability and need for disability-friendly tourism infrastructure in Bunaken. A mixed-method approach was applied, combining quantitative surveys of 321 respondents with qualitative interviews and field observations. The findings reveal that stakeholders strongly agree (>4.1) on the urgency of providing access for disabled tourists and moderately agree (>3.7) on the importance of supporting facilities, including accessible toilets, communication aids, and modified transport. However, some respondents raised concerns related to renovation costs and implementation feasibility. The study concludes that inclusive tourism in Bunaken is both necessary and economically promising. Specific recommendations include prioritizing basic accessible infrastructure, engaging disabled persons organizations (DPOs) in planning, and leveraging public-private partnerships to fund improvements. This research contributes to the discourse on sustainable and inclusive tourism by offering empirical insights and practical strategies to make Bunaken Island a more accessible and welcoming destination for all.
Benny Irwan Towoliu, Diana Tangian, Bernadain Dainty Polii, Dianne O.
