Conflict of Interest
International Journal of Tourism Business Research (INTOUR) requires authors to disclose any financial or non-financial interests that could reasonably be perceived to influence the research, the interpretation of its findings, or the preparation of the manuscript. Disclosure is intended to support transparency and does not, by itself, imply that the research or the authors’ conclusions are biased.
A conflict of interest may arise from, but is not limited to, financial relationships, employment, consultancies, honoraria, paid expert testimony, research grants or other funding, personal or professional relationships, affiliations, or competing academic or intellectual interests. Relevant interests may involve the authors, their institutions, or organizations that have an interest in the research findings.
All authors are responsible for disclosing relevant interests. The corresponding author must confirm that a conflict-of-interest statement has been obtained from every co-author and included in the manuscript at the time of submission. If no competing interests exist, the manuscript must include the following statement:
Conflict of Interest: The authors declare that they have no competing interests.
If one or more authors have interests to disclose, the manuscript must describe them clearly. The statement should identify the nature of the interest and, where relevant, the organization or entity involved. Authors should also explain any role that a funder or other interested party had in the study design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, manuscript preparation, or decision to submit the article for publication.
Authors must update their disclosure if relevant information changes during editorial assessment or peer review. The editors may request further information and will consider disclosed interests when managing the editorial and peer-review process. All manuscripts remain subject to INTOUR’s editorial screening and peer-review procedures.
Disclosure Statement for Manuscripts
Include one of the following statements in the manuscript:
When no competing interests exist:
Conflict of Interest: The authors declare that they have no competing interests.
When competing interests exist:

List funding separately in the manuscript’s Funding statement, in accordance with the journal’s author guidelines. A funding disclosure does not replace the requirement to disclose any related competing interest.
