Post-Publication Discussion

International Journal of Tourism Business Research (INTOUR) supports responsible scholarly discussion of articles after publication. Post-publication discussion allows readers and authors to clarify, evaluate, and further develop research relevant to tourism business and related fields.

Submitting a Comment or Concern

Readers who wish to comment on a published article or raise a concern should contact the Editor-in-Chief through the journal’s official contact details. The correspondence should identify the article, explain the specific point being raised, and provide supporting evidence or references where appropriate.

Comments should be scholarly, constructive, relevant to the article, and expressed in professional language. Personal, defamatory, discriminatory, promotional, or otherwise inappropriate content will not be considered for publication. Submissions must respect privacy, confidentiality, copyright, and applicable ethical standards.

Editorial Assessment and Author Response

The editors will assess whether a submission is relevant, evidence-based, and suitable for publication or another editorial response. The editors may seek clarification or supporting information from the commenter and may invite the author of the article to respond.

If a comment and response are considered suitable for publication, they may be published in an appropriate format on the journal website, subject to editorial review. Publication of a comment does not imply endorsement by INTOUR of the views expressed. The editors retain responsibility for editorial decisions and may decline or edit submissions to meet the journal’s standards.

Concerns About Published Articles

Concerns involving possible errors, unreliable findings, plagiarism, duplicate publication, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or other breaches of publication ethics should be reported to the Editor-in-Chief. The journal will assess such concerns fairly and confidentially, request relevant information from the authors where appropriate, and take action in accordance with its publication ethics policies.

Depending on the findings, the journal may publish a correction, an expression of concern, or a retraction, or take another appropriate editorial action. Any notice will be linked to the original article and made available to readers to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record. Retractions or corrections will not be issued solely because authors’ interpretations or conclusions are disputed; editorial action will be based on the evidence and the nature of the issue.
